KF U.S. delegation visited the U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory
Vice President, Kiyoshi Seko and Head of KF U.S. Bibake Uppal had the opportunity to visit the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory in the U.S.
KF´s delegation got a firsthand look at the advanced experiments, including the National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade (NSTX-U). The spherical device (NSTX-U) is shaped more like a cored apple and can produce high-pressure plasmas — essential ingredients for fusion reactions — with relatively low and cost-effective magnetic fields.
KF attended the 44th Annual Tritium Focus Group Meeting at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories
The 44th Annual Tritium Focus Group (TFG) Meeting is a standing US Department of Energy Working Group, that has met twice annually for over 20 years – bringing scientists and engineers together to share research in tritium science and technology. KF´s technical team and business team participated in the event to share their latest research findings and gain insights, deepen the collaboration and connections with CNL and forge new ones during the event.
Gain valuable insights from our Chief Innovator on advancement shaping fusion energy
Listen to our Chief Innovator Richard Pearson on the Gener8 podcast with Veriten, where he tries to give a sense of the progress in fusion energy, and discusses in particular the challenges on the road ahead: "Plasma behaviour & control, finding suitable materials, enabling technologies in the plant, systems integration - overarching all of these needs to be a general philosophy, ethos that we need to design for fusion commercialisation."
