Kyoto Fusioneering won Grand Prize of City Tech Tokyo Challenge
Kyoto Fusioneering is delighted to have won the Grand Prize for a sustainable society at City-Tech.Tokyo. Vice President, Kiyoshi Seko, delivered a winning pitch and received the prize at City-Tech.Tokyo Official Account, one of the world's largest city tech events with the aim of realising sustainable cities.
"My biggest mission here today is to increase awareness of fusion energy, and I think I accomplished." said Vice President Kiyoshi Seko, in his award acceptance speech.
City-Tech Challenge is a global pitch contest where selected domestic and international startups take the stage to show their cutting-edge "City-Tech" for a sustainable society.

Vice President, Kiyoshi Seko, was part of the fusion energy panel organised by City Tech Tokyo, one of the world's largest city tech event in Tokyo, Japan. Among other fusion experts were Bob Mumgaard, CEO at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Beau Laskey, Managing Partner at SVB Capital, James Riney, Founding Partner at Coral Capital.

New Pump for the plasma exhaust system has arrived to our Lab
The vacuum pump was developed jointly by KF and one of the top manufacturers in Japan. It is an essential piece of peripheral equipment for generating the energy of nuclear fusion continuously and efficiently in a fusion reactor, and has both functionality and durability in the special environment of a fusion plant. This is a major milestone not only for KF, but also and Japan's "monozukuri" to demonstrate its strength and to accelerate the global fusion effort.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) students visit Kyoto Fusioneering during "Innovation Discovery Japan" Event
Kyoto Fusioneering hosted the students of MIT with an informative session about KF´s most advanced fusion engineering technologies.
Innovation Discovery Japan (IDJ) is a tech trek to Japan in which MIT students and researchers visit technology-oriented Japanese companies and research institutes. IDJ was established in 2017 by Japanese students at MIT to build networks between MIT and Japan by exposing MIT students and faculty to Japanese technologies and businesses.
Kyoto Fusioneering exhibited at Coral Capital`s Startup Career Fair
Coral Capital hosted Japan´s biggest startup career fair. Kyoto Fusioneering´s CEO, Taka Nagao, joined the pannel discusion on global business expansion of top Japan´s startups. Dr. Miki Nishimura, Corporate Design Manager, presented KF´s main business and its core technologies. Dr Miki Nishimura´s presentation and a successful exhibition booth drove a high number of attendees to KF´s booth.
