Kyoto Fusioneering Raises 1.5 billion Yen in Series C Extension Round

Kyoto Fusioneering is thrilled to announce the successful closure of our Series C Extension Round, securing US$9.9M from new investors. This significant investment, building upon our previous Series C round in May 2023, reflects ongoing confidence in our vision and mission. These funds will drive our Research and Development efforts, propelling projects like UNITY-1 and UNITY-2 forward, and fuelling our global expansion efforts. Additionally, the investment provides the necessary working capital for large-scale project orders, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation in the fusion industry. Japan Fusion Energy Council (J-Fusion) Inauguration


We are delighted to announce the launch of the Japan Fusion Energy Council (J-Fusion), inaugurated at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C., on March 22nd. Our COO, Kiyoshi Seko, and the Japanese Ambassador to the United States, Shigeo Yamada, delivered keynote speeches at the event.

J-Fusion's mission is to bring together academia, industry, and government to advance fusion energy. The council is dedicated to fostering international collaboration to accelerate the journey toward practical fusion energy solutions.

We look forward to strengthening our partnerships with the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and other international stakeholders to drive progress in this industry.



Kyoto Fusioneering Team Meets with Ontario's Minister of Economic Development

We had the privilege of meeting with the Honorable Victor Fedeli, Ontario's Minister of Economic Development. Ontario has been instrumental in advancing fusion fuel technologies, and our new UNITY-2 project in Ontario will continue this effort by developing innovative fusion fuel cycle systems, creating a global platform for fusion innovation.

Representatives from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories visited us in Japan, where they were welcomed at our Tokyo headquarters. During the meetings, we had technical discussions and provided a brief tour of our Kyoto Research Centre, the heart of our R&D operations. The joint project UNITY-2, developed in Canada, is progressing well and is focused on the fusion fuel cycle. A key component of the project is the test loop, which is essential for validating safe and reliable fuel supply procedures for the core plasma.

Kyoto Fusioneering Welcomed UC San Diego Students to Its Kyoto Research Center for Industry-Academia Exchange

Students from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), a partner of Kyoto University, were warmly received at our Kyoto Research Centre, our R&D hub. Our CEO, Satoshi Konishi, led the visit, where the students explored our cutting-edge technologies and learned about our progress toward commercializing fusion. We consider these visits essential for promoting innovation and fostering stronger connections between academic research and industry.
