Kyoto Fusioneering and General Fusion forge Partnership to drive Magnetized Target Fusion Commercialisation


We are thrilled to announce an MOU with General Fusion to accelerate the commercialisation of General Fusion’s proprietary Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF) technology, aiming for grid integration in the early to mid-2030s.

The collaboration will help to advance critical systems for MTF commercialisation, including the tritium fuel cycle, liquid metal balance of plant, and power conversion cycle.

At the 29th International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Fusion Energy Conference, our CEO, Satoshi Konishi, had the privilege of participating in a high-level panel alongside leaders from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), UK Atomic Energy Authority, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the UK Minister for Nuclear and Networks.
