Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Extends a Warm Welcome to KF Delegates in Chalk River, Canada


In August, the business delegation from Kyoto Fusioneering (KF) visited the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) located in Chalk River, Ontario, further solidifying our burgeoning partnership. Upon arrival, the KF team was warmly welcomed with the Japanese flag flying alongside the Canadian and Ontario provincial flags, symbolising our united effort to accelerate the commercialisation of fusion energy. Earlier in March, KF and CNL entered a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a significant step towards advancing fusion energy development. This collaboration aims to focus on the development and demonstration of fuel cycle systems, pivotal for the secure and efficient functioning of fusion energy facilities. Both entities are committed to mutual sharing of scientific knowledge, equipment, and cutting-edge technologies.

KF welcomes the announcement of the UK government, which involves the development of a national strategy for fusion energy and fostering strong international partnerships.

Dr. Richard Pearson, Co-Founder, Chief Innovator & UK Director of Kyoto Fusioneering, remarked:

KF´s contribution to Fusion and Fission Energy Panel at the 2023 CAE Conference in Victoria


Bibake Uppal, Senior Business Development Manager of KF America, represented the company and the broader industry at the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) 2023 Conference. He presented the company at the CAE 2023 Conference - Panel on Fusion and Fission Energy (minute 23:50). Sharing the stage with the CTO of General Fusion, Uppal's presentation (23:50 minute) was well-received by prominent figures from the political, academic, and industrial sectors within Canada's engineering community.
