KF America Secures INFUSE Award from US Department of Energy
Kyoto Fusioneering America Ltd., the Seattle-based subsidiary of Kyoto Fusioneering Ltd. (KF), has been awarded a prestigious award from the US Department of Energy (DOE) through its Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE) program. The award, entitled “Preparation & Characterization of Li-6-enriched Lithium-Lead Samples for Neutron Irradiation,” marks KF’s fourth INFUSE award, building on the three received last year. In collaboration with Idaho National Laboratory (INL), this project lays the foundation for achieving a sustainable tritium breeding ratio in fusion power plants, while also establishing foundational methods for future breeder material development.
